A new system should be sized for your home, not for the old one's label. We measure, show you options in writing and handle the permit, installation and warranty registration.

The equipment matters, but in Florida the installation matters just as much: correct sizing for humidity, airflow matched to the ducts, a properly routed condensate drain, wind-rated anchoring and a charge set to the manufacturer's spec. A great unit installed poorly will feel worse than an average one installed well.
When to call
- Your system needs a major repair (compressor, coil) and is past mid-life
- Repairs have become frequent, or it still uses R-22 refrigerant
- Rooms stay humid or uneven even after repairs
- You're remodeling, adding space or changing how you use the home
- You want better efficiency or quieter operation
What the work covers
Load calculation
A room-by-room calculation of how much cooling the home actually needs (ACCA Manual J method), considering windows, insulation, orientation and humidity.
Duct evaluation
Checking that the existing ducts can deliver the airflow a new system needs, or what has to change.
Equipment selection
Split systems, heat pumps, variable-speed equipment and ductless mini-splits, with efficiency explained in plain language. See SEER2 explained.
Permit and inspection
Pulled by the licensed contractor where required, with code items such as wind anchoring and disconnects handled.
Commissioning
Refrigerant charge, airflow, drain flow and thermostat setup verified and recorded, and the warranty registered.
How we do it
We start with an in-home assessment: the existing equipment, the ducts, the air handler location and how the home feels room by room. You get written options, usually good, better and best, with the trade-offs explained. Once you choose, we schedule the installation, pull the permit, remove the old equipment, install and commission the new system, and walk you through it.
Your options
| Option | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Like-for-like replacement | The old system was sized well and the ducts are in good shape. |
| Right-sized replacement | The load calculation shows the old system was oversized or undersized for the home. |
| Variable-speed or two-stage | Humidity control and even temperatures are priorities. |
| Ductless mini-split | Room additions, garages, hard-to-cool rooms or homes without usable ducts. |
What affects the price
You get a written estimate after diagnosis or assessment, before any work starts. These are the things that move the number:
- System size and efficiency level
- Air handler location and access
- Duct modifications needed
- Electrical, pad, stand or anchoring upgrades
- Permit requirements
- Any available utility or manufacturer incentives at the time

Frequently asked questions
How long does replacement take?
Many straightforward replacements are done in a day. Duct changes, relocations and permit inspection timing can extend that. You'll get the schedule in writing.
Do you offer financing?
Ask when you call. If financing is available through the local Uniform HVAC company, the terms will be in writing with your estimate.
Will a bigger system cool better?
Not in Florida. Oversized systems cool quickly, shut off and leave humidity behind. Correct sizing is what makes a home comfortable.
